The GWS Slingshot Across America Tour by Danielle Corsetto

Kickstarter Updates
WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL?Girls With Slingshots is going nationwide this summer!! My webcomic, Girls With Slingshots, is turning TEN YEARS OLD this year, and I want to celebrate with the very people who've made it possible (well, just the people who live in the US, for now!). So I'm planning a road trip to do signings across the States this summer, to meet and celebrate with the very people who've made GWS a success over the last decade. I figured it was the perfect opportunity to create some new GWS prints while I was at it, so I've created two slightly different designs for wallpapers, postcards, prints and posters in honor of the tour.WHAT YOU'RE FUNDING To celebrate the strip's tenth anniversary, I'd like to visit GWS fans in 20+ cities,…

Science Fiction Epic: The Far Bank of the Rubicon by Erik Wecks

Kickstarter Updates
I'm not sure I could think of a better way to show you my project other than to let you read part of the book. (I'll be back on the other side to tell you a little more.) So without further ado...The Far Bank of the RubiconBy Erik WecksPrologueThe biting temperature didn’t bother Elijah Summers, and if it made the movements of his opponents just that much slower, all the better. Minus two made it the coldest night in Washington, D.C., in several years. The brightly lit, snow-covered lane worried him more. There would be no hiding from the CEO’s bodyguards when he eventually had to cross it.From the gatehouse where he stood, Summers looked across the untouched white street to the historic home beyond. The nondescript, black limousine hovered…

Guy Fox Paris Children’s Map by The Guy Fox Team

Kickstarter Updates
How We Made ItWe explored Paris on foot, and we photographed museums, landmarks, statues and those everyday objects that make Paris Paris (things like postboxes and magazine vendors and sidewalk cafés). Then one of our illustrators lovingly drew and inked each icon. Volunteers helped us scan and colour them, and more volunteers helped with the map cartography. Finally, a team of French-speaking volunteers helped do the proofreading. It's looking fantastic, if we do say so ourselves. Please scroll down for a sneak peek at the artwork. The result will be a simplified, illustrated explorer's map that really brings Paris to life. We'll package it up with a sheet of stickers (so that you can personalise it) and a postcard that you can keep for yourself or send to a friend. We Need Your Support! The…

Sea of Red by Mason Johnson

Kickstarter Updates
In the story, a pair of melancholy strangers, gleaming with a sad yet romantic interconnectedness, cross paths in a doctor's office in two separate existences.  Here is the poem that inspired Sea of Red:Shel Silverstein's "Masks"“She had blue skin,And so did he.He kept it hidAnd so did she. They searched for blueTheir whole life through,Then passed right by--And never knew.”Who Is Making Sea of Red?Mason Johnson, Writer and DirectorThe concept for Sea of Red all started when a friend shared the poem “Masks” by Shel Silverstein with me last year.  I immediately had a connection with the deep meaning behind the story.  I found the poem lending itself to a strong visual narrative in my brain.  I finally moved into writing a script and concocting a film treatment when I was…
